The BMW X3 2018:On A Mission

As showcased in the Auto Expo 2018, BMW launched the X3 at 49.99lacs.
The new X3 retains the previous X3's features on the outside, but the larger grille, headlamps mounted further are apart & elegant.Due to the new platform, the new X3 is 55kg lighter.In all the overall dimensions are quite similar to the outgoing model, the wheelbase on X3 is longer which gives spacious interior room.




For the time being, the X3 is launched with the same 2.0 litre,four-cylinder turbo diesel engine.Including the 8-speed automatic distributing power equally to the 4 wheels.It makes 190bhp & 400nm of torque respectively.Compared to the second-gen X3, the new SUV’s interiors and tech have been significantly updated as well. 


The in-cabin tech is shared with the BMW 5-series, which includes the touch-and-gesture-controlled iDrive infotainment system, a head-up display and 360-degree cameras.


A detailed comparison to its predecessor



The German carmaker had slowly phased out the various trims of the outgoing model. Just before the launch of the third-gen X3, the previous one was sold in a single top-spec M Sports trim, priced at Rs 54 lakh.
